Dick Dominica, a former school teacher and Executive Director
of Parks and Recreation in New Jersey, started Dominica Recreation
Products, Inc. in 1968. He saw firsthand how confusing it
can be to order park and playground equipment, and wanted
to be able to offer the customer an easier way, seeing them
through the process from order to installation. Dominica Recreation
was formed to offer a sales and service delivery system unlike
any in the industry. Mr. Dominica believed in keeping promises
to customers and in treating them the way he would like to
be treated.
That philosophy paid off and after serving New Jersey for
12 years, he decided to move the family and company to Longwood,
Florida. The original staff of 2 has grown to 16 and they
have been serving customers for over 37 years with their unique
teamwork approach.
This approach begins with the Sales Professional, and involves
virtually all members of the team, from Project Managers to
Installers. We also encourage customer involvement to ensure
satisfaction from start to finish.
Our Team approach is unique in our industry. The complexities
of playground design demand the attention of more than just
a salesperson, you need a team of experts in the various related
fields to help you achieve safer, more stimulating and exciting
play environments. To make sure you get a playground that
is beyond your expectations, we want you to know that when
you choose DRP, you put a personalized team of experts to
work for you, to make your playground dream a reality. Any
of them can help, at any time, with whatever your question,
concern or need might be. So put your mind at rest, and choose
the team that will get the job done
the way you want
it. Your personalized team will consist of the following professionals:
Project Managers: Your Project Manager will be your
DRP office contact. They will review your proposal for ADA,
ASTM and CPSC compliance; as well as maintaining your project
file with all the information gathered throughout the order
process. They are your immediate source for clarification
and fine-tuning of all elements of your proposal.
Sales Professionals: DRPs Sales Professionals are certified
by the National Playground Safety Institute. Also, unique
to our industry, our Sales Professionals are equipped with AutoCAD,
on a lap top Dream Developer so they can construct
your play system in 3-D during your first session, if you
choose. While your Sales Professional may be the only person
you ever meet with, face-to-face, be assured that ALL our
office personnel are able and willing to assist you with any
questions or concerns you may have.
Customer Care Representatives: DRP is proud to offer
you the best customer service in the industry. Your Customer
Care Representative will process your order, coordinate delivery
and installation dates, as well as assisting you in all your
after-sale needs.
Certified Installers: Our Installers are certified
by the National Playground Safety Institute (NPSI) and GameTime.
They will provide you with a Five Star Plus Installation to guarantee your satisfaction by confirming delivery and installation details along with a 90-day follow up visit.
